Iceland may have been knocked out of EURO 2016 in what would be deemed embarrassing circumstances for almost any of the nations at this summer’s showpiece event…but not for them.
No, the tiny Nordic country have become fan favourites across the globe with their never-say-die attitude and heroic on field displays.
But it’s not just that which has endeared them to the masses, the fans have been quite simply out of this world.
They once again proved to be some of the very best on this planet on Sunday night during the heavy defeat to hosts France.
In the Icelandic capital of Reykjavik, over twenty thousand fans turned out in force for the game, but that’s not what makes it so special.
It’s the klapping. The Viking style war chant we’ve seen on so many occasions this summer was back, and in force. It’s incredible to watch.
They also pulled it off in the stadium in what is one of the most goosebump inducing moments you may witness.
